• Design and realisation of an eIF4AIII helicase crosslinking strategy (May to July 2010)

The Exon Junction Complex (EJC) is a protein complexe binded to the RNA by the the exon junction by the splicing machinery, that follow and mark RNA from the nucleus to the traduction. It is weakly binded to RNA by an helicase protein, eIF4AIII. The aim of this working experiment is to design and realise a strategy to lock the complexe onto the RNA with a precise and targetted reaction with a crosslink agent. We hope that this stabilised complex will help to catch unknown interacting agents for this complex from cell lysis mixture.

  • Organic Chemesty working experiment (November 2009)

I've done my first research working experiment in organic chemistry at the laboratory of biomolecules (UMR 7203) directed by Jean Maurice Mallet at the ENS. I've worked on cyanides dyies copound designed to label proteins and glycocalyx and study their role in the cell, near the membrane. I've synthetized one new copound and explore other pathways for the synthesis of an already realised one. The study is still in progress at the laboratory today.
